Before the Year Ends: 3 Things to Focus on for Business Growth

By Yolanda Huillca

As we approach the end of the year, it’s a great time to pause and ask yourself:

What should I focus on to grow my business?

You may feel like you need to accomplish everything before the year ends. But you don’t. This is the time to step back, look at what you’ve built, understand what is working, and create a clear plan for what comes next.

You don’t need to be a financial expert to feel confident about your business finances. You need clarity, a good process, and the right support.

  1. Review What’s Working

Start by looking at what is already working in your business.

Take a closer look at your:

  • Revenue: Where is your income coming from? What has increased or decreased?
  • Offers: Which products or services are selling the most?
  • Clients: Who are your best customers? What do they value most about your business?

Understanding what is working helps you make better decisions about where to invest your time, energy, and money.

  1. Identify Where Money Is Leaking

Growth is not only about making more money. It is also about keeping more of what you earn.

Review your:

  • Expenses: Are there costs you can reduce or eliminate?
  • Pricing: Are you charging enough to cover your costs and generate a healthy profit?
  • Inefficiencies: Are there processes taking too much time or money?

Sometimes, improving profitability does not require finding more customers. It may simply require making better use of the resources you already have.

  1. Create a 90-Day Plan

Don’t wait until January to start planning.

Instead, create a focused 90-day plan with a few realistic priorities. Decide what you want to accomplish, what actions you need to take, and how you will measure your progress.

A clear plan can help turn big goals into manageable steps.

Conclusion: Financial clarity means knowing where your money is coming from, where it is going, and what your numbers are telling you.

As the year comes to an end, don’t focus on doing everything. Focus on understanding what is working, identifying what needs to change, and creating your next 90-day plan.

You don’t have to wait for January to start growing your business. Your next chapter can start now.
